FRANK THOMAS SIMPSON II (b. 1967) was born in Groton, CT. He received his BM in church music from Westminster Choir College where he received the Top Composition Award for undergraduates in 1988. Tom currently resides in North Hollywood, California. He has four handbell compositions in the Hope/Agape catalog the most recent of which is a 2-3 octavo setting of J.S. Bach's A TRUMPET CHORALE. Tom is indebted to composition teachers Ronald Arnatt, Don Allured and Martha Lynn Thompson all of whom encouraged him along the way.

The Registration fee is $490 dollars through September 30th and $590 October 1st through November 1st. This includes: Friday reception and Saturday rehearsal, After Concert Desert Celebration and Premium Fireworks Viewing section, Complimentary Coach Transportation to and from Saturday performance and to Epcot for Sunday performance, Performance Shirt, and park admission for after the performance.

Your registration fee does not include: Transportation to Orlando. Hotel accommodations. Some Meals.

Any handbell ringer willing to learn and perform the repertoire. Ringers under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Both individuals and pre-existing ensembles can participate.

The preferred hotel is The Coronado Springs Convention Center and Resort. Special room rates are available upon request.

You will need to bring 2 bells or 4 if you play the shellys. Malmark, Schulmerich or White Chapel. All notes are naturals, there are no accidentals and no bell changes. You will need to bring the 2 or 4 bells you are assigned. Limited rental bells will be available for an additional fee after you register.

The event begins on Friday December 26 with our performer welcome reception, Rehearsals on Saturday December 27th from 9 to 3 p.m. then 1st performance at Disney Springs at 7 p.m., Sunday Dress Rehearsal at 4 p.m. at the Epcot Performance Center with Buses leaving the resort at 3:30 p.m. Desert and Fireworks reception following the performance. .

You are not required to prepare your music ahead of time but if you would like to practice and see the music ahead of time you can purchase a downloadable copy from the Great Christmas Ring website.

Music, provided with registration. Discounts are available if you already own an individual bound copy of the complete collection. You will play a position assignment with over 100 of your fellow ringers to create a mass ring choir. Most of the collection is level 2+ or level 3. You will have plenty of time to master the music in Friday's rehearsal.

YES! We will follow all local guidelines for masking and social distancing throughout the event.

Every attendee will have the opportunity to indicate dietary preferences and needs when they register.

Please let us know when you register if you have any other needs we need to be aware of.

Dress comfortably for rehearsals. We will be in intensive rehearsals for long periods so wear good shoes. We will provide you with your performance shirt and you provide khaki pants. Disney does not allow performers to wear tennis shoes or sandals. You will need a pair of comfortable black loafers. (Canvas or Leather)

Orlando is easily accessible by all means of transportation.

Your admission to Epcot is included for after the performance. If you wish to visit the park the day of the performance you must purchase an additional full price ticket. You must also agree to be at the performance location by the time dress rehearsal begins. If you arrive after the doors close you will not be allowed to perform at the concert in Epcot or attend the post concert desert/VIP fireworks reception.

You will not need a car.

The VIP guest package includes transportation to and from the performance on Saturday, transportation to Epcot on Sunday for the Dress Rehearsal and concert, admission for all events, the welcome reception, the VIP conductor luncheon and a ticket for admission to Epcot after the performance only. If your VIP wants to visit the park before the concert or during the dress rehearsal, they must have a full price admission ticket that can be purchased seperately.

Yes. To enter a park, both a theme park reservation and valid ticket or pass for the same park on the same date is required. Upon reopening, certain parks, hotels, restaurants, attractions, services, experiences, amenities and other offerings will be modified or unavailable, will have limited capacity, and will be subject to limited availability or even closure, and that park admission and offerings are not guaranteed. The only way to insure you can get in for the whole day and see the performance is to purchase a ticket in advance through us.
